Saturday, October 27th - Chamber of Commerce Businesses will open their doors to all of the ghouls and goblins, ghosts and witches, princesses and frogs to trick or treat door to door.
Look for the "orange pumpkin" on their doors (or windows) for treats and look for the "teal pumpkin" for non-food items. What is the teal pumpkin about? The teal pumpkin project was started years ago to accommodate the young children with food allergies. The teal pumpkin symbol symbolizes that non-food treats are available.
Trick or treating is from 9am-11am.
Also during this time there will be games and activities at the fire station for the kids to enjoy (9-11). A costume contest will be held at 10:50 also at the fire station. Immediately following the costume contest will be the Giant Pumpkin Drop (approx. 11/11:15). We have a 12' in diameter LARGE pumpkin that will be dropped from way up high (thanks to Swales Precast for their assistance) and smashed! Don't miss it!
Businesses are invited to decorate a pumpkin and bring to the City Hall the week of or the Fire Station the morning of (starting at 8am). Pumpkin with most votes (by way of money) will be the winner of 2 large pizzas.
